Attack

Some kids just attack this stuff. As his Dad said in our meetings today “it’s too bad that this wasn’t taught last year”. Fortunately things are changing and moving back to where they were a few years back.

Task is to create a game that has a help screen, start menu, and a number of other things on the rubric. We are using parts of the Exploring Computer Science V 5 curriculum and I am using the rubric from page 190.

Choices were to  create a game where:

every component of the game including sprites and backgrounds were created by you. If you create sprites take screenshots of your progress.

all parts of the game except for the graphic elements were created by you.

you have followed a tutorial and modified it significantly. You must show me the tutorial.

you have taken a game from the Scratch site and modified portions of it. You must show me the game that you used prior to modifying it.

Lots of room for differentiation.
