Wrting and Blogging
Have been working on creating a a blog site that aggregates all of our student’s work into one location. We have about 130 different blogs and each blog is brought together into our main blog (http://learning.ssis.edu.vn/blogs/Write/). This site uses a slightly modified version of the BranfordMagazine theme. The only real change was to more closely match the design of our school website and to add a video component to the front page.
The “Mother Blog” uses a number of different plugins but really comes together with the site-wide tags plugin to aggregate our content. In addition, I am using cets_EmbedRSS to embed rss feeds into different pages based on the student tag posts.
Like the idea of aggregating, then being able to select items via tags. This makes the whole process of collecting student work into your RSS reader a lot easier. Hopefully all of the kids will remember to add the tags!
